Library of Things
All four of our Libraries have bike locks, traffic cones, and OBD2 Auto Diagnostic Code Readers. Eastlake and Willoughby Libraries have a large number of games and puzzles. Detailed lists of all other Library of Things items are available below.
Loan Policy and Library of Things Procedures:
Items are available for use by current WEPL library cardholders in good standing, ages 18 years of age or older.
Items are loaned out for one week with no renewal. No holds are allowed on items.
Overdue fees will be charged for Library of Things items not returned by their due date at a rate of $5.00 per day.
Items must be returned to the lending branch and cannot be left outside of the library or placed in the book drops.
If the item is lost, stolen, or damaged, the cardholder will be held responsible for all applicable replacement costs and processing fees.
Items are not available for interlibrary loans to other CLEVNET branches due to their fragility.
Eastlake Library of Things
- Blu-Ray Player: Comes with a Remote Control (batteries not included), HDMI cable, AV Cable for projector, Smart TV, TV, or other portable screen devices.
- Kill-a-Watt: Electricity Use Monitor. Calculates the cost of energy use.
- Ukulele: Ideal for adults and children who want to learn a new instrument.

- VHS to DVD Converter
- ELK Projector: A projector that can be used inside or outside and can connect to iPhones and Android phones. Please do not use in inclement weather.
- Speaker/Karaoke Machine: Two available. Each comes with wireless microphones and connecting cables. Connects to cellphones and computers. Ideal for livening up a small party or gathering.
- Solar-Powered Power Bank: Ideal for camping and to charge cell phones and other small electronic devices.
- Metal detector: Tells what metal is in the ground before digging, and even the denomination of change. Comes with a small collapsible shovel. Ideal for a day at the beach, but not to use in water.
Willoughby Library of Things
- Binoculars: Recommended for bird watching or outdoor sightseeing. They have high-resolution focus.
- Bluetooth Speaker: This speaker is intended for indoor and outdoor use, but we caution against using it in rainy weather or by a pool. It is intended for small gatherings.
- Blu-Ray/DVD Player: This player requires a TV for setup and comes with instructions.
- Bocce Ball Set: Designed for outdoor use only. The bag is extremely heavy.
- Electric Screwdriver: Intended for minor home repairs. Not recommended for use in large-scale home renovations.
- Hiking Poles: Intended for beginner use. They are technically designed for women between 5’4” and 5’9”.
- Metal Detector: Tells what metal is in the ground before digging, and even the denomination of change. Comes with a small collapsible shovel. Ideal for a day at the beach, but not to use in water.
- Pickleball Set: A beginner’s pickleball set with four paddles.
- Energizer Power Bank: Ideal to power small devices.
- 58 Piece Tool Set: This is meant for minor home repairs or for someone to try out. Not recommended for use in large-scale home renovations.
Willoughby Hills Library of Things
- Blu-Ray Player: Requires a TV for setup and comes with instructions.
- Boombox: For the nostalgic who wants to listen to CDs or the radio.
- Crochet Set: Set of Crochet needles and supplies for beginners. Yarn not included.
- DVD Player: For TVs that require HDMI setup. TV not included.
- Knitting Needle Set with Bag: For those who want to learn to knit. Yarn not included.
- Sewing Machine: For those who want to learn to sew at home. This machine is heavy. Lift carefully.
Willowick Library of Things
- Cricut Joy: A small but mighty machine that is ideal for creating images for small projects such as custom vinyl decals for T-shirts, tote bags, or hats. Must provide own materials. Not ideal for large-scale projects.
- Portable DVD Players: Portable DVD Player with high-definition sound and a rechargeable battery. Plays DVDs only, no Blu-Rays. Two available.
- Laminator: Has two settings and accommodates legal and letter-sized paper and photos. Does not come with lamination sheets.
- Magnifying Glass: Enhances images by 30X. Has three light settings and comes with batteries.
- 4-in-1 Soil Tester: Can sense soil pH/moisture/temperature/light more accurately and quickly.
- Stud Finder: Ideal for DIY home projects where you need to find the stud in your wall.
- Radon Detector: The first battery-operated, digital radon detector. Monitor your home without the need for an outlet.
- Water Tester: Instant read tester for drinking water.
- PS5 Controller: Ideal for people who already have a PS5 and need an extra controller. PS5 console and charging dock are not included. Two available.

- Electrical Test Kit: Comes with Digital Multimeter, Non-Contact Voltage Tester, and Electrical Outlet Tester, Leads, and Batteries. Measures up to 600V AC/DC voltage, 10A DC current, and 2MOhms resistance.
