Last night, Make It Monday featured Eastlake Public Library’s two Cricut Makers, which can cut out custom shapes on paper, vinyl, sticker paper, and assorted other flat materials. A demonstration on using the Cricut Maker was the subject of a previous Power to the WEPL post.
For this class, we designed custom stickers using Canva, a free graphic design website. Then, we followed the JenniferMaker.com tutorial on turning them into stickers using Cricut Design Space.
We also learned how to make custom stickers from photos on iPhone and Android, then emailed them using the “Share” button on the smartphones to the computers we were using. From there, we uploaded the images into Canva, exported the pages into Cricut Design Space, then printed them on sticker paper using the library printers, before cutting them out on the Cricut.
(If you’d like to learn more about Canva, feel free to use your WEPL library card to sign into LinkedIn Learning, then search in the top box for “Canva Essential Training“.)
If you missed Make It Monday and would like to set up an appointment to make your own stickers using the above directions, just call the library 440-942-7880 ext. 2 to set up an appointment to use the Cricut Maker. Simply bring your own sticker paper to use at the library, print in color for 25 cents per page (you get $1 free printing per day with your library card!), then use the above directions to create the custom stickers of your dreams!
