Library Funding: Thank You and Next Steps

Thank you to each and every one of you who contacted your representatives and for speaking up on behalf of Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library and all libraries in Ohio. Your efforts paid off. Your stories made a difference. Our voices were heard, and progress was made. The Ohio House changed their budget bill.

The state budget is now with the Senate, and the process will not be completed until the end of June. There is still work to be done. We will continue to work alongside our fellow library systems to advocate for the restoration of the Public Library Fund (PLF) to 1.75% per Governor DeWine’s proposed budget.
