Greetings, gamers!
Five nights at Freddy’s: Help wanted 2 (Rated T) PlayStation 5 arrived. As a new employee of Fazbear Entertainment, the player needs to perform a variety of tasks/minigames to maintain the quality of the establishment. Of course, FNAF fans will want to check this out. Also compatible with the PlayStation VR2 (not required to play)!
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (Rated M) came out for all our latest available consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Switch). Shin Megami Tensei V came out in 2021, but Vengeance offers a new experience in addition to the original story. You can play the game’s original plot and/or you can choose the Path of Vengeance which introduces new characters, scenes, fights, and switches up the story. Sounds like a fun and interesting concept and worth checking out!
Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection (PlayStation 5, Switch) Rated E 10+ was released digitally prior to coming out in a physical format for these consoles. The collection includes the games released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Game Boy, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), and Sega Gensis (the classic consoles). If you like Jurassic Park and want to either experience some good games or relieve some nostalgia, this is a game for you!
Might & Magic Clash of Heroes Definitive Edition (Rated E 10+) for the Switch is a puzzle, RPG, and strategy game all in one. Might & Magic Clash of Heroes came out in 2009, but this updated definitive edition comes with all the previously released DLC and updated graphics. If you didn’t get to check out the original release of the game this would be a great opportunity to play it!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the mutants (Rated E 10+) came in for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Switch. It’s a port of the beat ‘em up fighting arcade game released in 2017 but with some new stages and bosses. The character design is taken from the 2012 Nickelodeon versions, which is fun. Cowabunga, dudes!
F1 24, rated E, released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Anyone familiar with the F1 racing games will be excited for a new addition to the lineup. In the Career mode, you can play as any of the current Formula One drivers and increase their reputation throughout the season. You can also play as retired drivers and drivers from Formula 2.
Morbid: The Lords of Ire (PlayStation 5, Switch) is a rated M game that has been likened to a soulslike game (meaning it has elements from games like Demon’s Souls and the Dark Souls series by FromSoftware, such as a dark fantasy-type atmosphere and challenging gameplay). It’s gotten mixed reviews but seems to be a decent addition to a genre that has had many games developed in this style.
To close out with our usual reminder for those of you interested in checking out our new games: You must have a Willoughby-Eastlake Library card and have had it for at least 30 days. The new games are 14-day loans and are NOT renewable. Also, with our new games you can only have 2 at a time checked out on your card. Our not-as-new games (which are holdable and renewable) you can have more of–if you’re not over your 50-item limit!
Until the next level,
Miss Bryn
