Adventure begins at your library. This is the theme for the upcoming 2024 Summer Reading Program (SRP). ‘Adventures’ take on many forms. The Warm-Up Challenge gives readers of all ages an opportunity to explore several types of fictional and real-life journeys before SRP. This challenge also takes patrons on their own literary quests. For example, the first challenge asks patrons to choose a book from a genre they do not usually read.
From January 1-March 31, patrons who read a book from each category have a chance to win a gift card in a drawing. Patrons can track their reading on Beanstack or with a paper log from a Willoughby-Eastlake Library location.
The categories are as follows:
JANUARY- LET THE ADVENTURES BEGIN
Category 1: New Year, New Genre. Read a book from a genre you do not typically read.
Category 2: Read an author’s debut book. View the Debut Book List here: https://bit.ly/3tCod7l
