Grab Your Hat and Read with the Cat! Celebrate NEA’s Read Across America Day

Read Across America

A child’s ability to read has a direct effect on their future success.  Reading with your child helps to increase their vocabulary and improves their reading fluency and comprehension. NEA’s Read Across America began in 1998 as a way to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Seuss by encouraging children to read. Since its creation, educators, parents, caregivers and students have embraced Read Across America and helped to turn it into the largest reading celebration.

On March 2, Join us in our cozy book nook in the Penfield Room of the Willoughby Public Library. All day long there will be comfy seats and coffee! No registration required, just stop in! Any Questions call 440-942-3200.

We encourage EVERYONE to pick up a book and read to a child. So, whether it’s your favorite Dr. Seuss book or something new and exciting, we encourage you to: Grab your hat and read with the cat!For more information, please visit www.nea.org/readacross
