Willowick and Willoughby Renovations Report, Issue 4
With thanks to our patrons and staff for their patience, the renovations of both the Willowick Library and the Willoughby Library continue.
At the Willowick Library, the construction work has moved from the lower level to the upper level of the building: the renovated Non Fiction area is taking shape as is the new and expanded Young Adult area. The carpeting on the lower level should be completed soon and the Children’s Department will then be finished. The public computers are available for patron use on the upper level once again.
At the Willoughby Library, the construction work has moved to the lower level. The Fiction area will be completed soon as will the new Circulation Desk and work area. The Non-Fiction collection and the public computers have reopened upstairs with the new and expanded Children’s area soon to follow.
Library staff have worked incredibly hard to maintain our excellent level of customer service throughout the dislocation of the construction process. We remain grateful to our patrons and staff as they weather the challenges of the renovation process. We are happy that the projects at both Libraries remain on time and on budget. We expect that the work will be done and we will be fully operational again at both Libraries in late May. Please stay tuned to the Library’s website for up-to-the-minute news about the progress of the renovations. Please call Rick Werner (440-943-2203, Ext. 100) with questions or comments about the construction process.
